Susannah's photo...challenged everything the West Coast-based surf media had come to believe was right about a life dedicated to surfing. -Joel Patterson
The photographs are extraordinarily knowing and intimate. -Sean Corcoran
This limited edition monograph launched alongside a solo exhibition of Right Coast at the Rockaway Beach Surf Club, opening July 22, 2016. Featuring essays by Sean Corcoran, Curator of Prints and Photographs of the Museum of the City of New York, and Joel Patterson, former editor-in-chief of SURFER and TransWorld SURF magazines, Right Coast chronicles the surfing culture of New York City in photographs made over nearly 8 years. Concluded shortly before Hurricane Sandy ravaged the Rockaways, this photographic series has become a testament to the halcyon days before the storm, to a way of life lost, and to a life regained.
Right Coast can be purchased with a limited edition print, details under collector's edition.
The limited edition: 250 signed copies. $40
The collector's edition: The limited edition monograph with an 8"x10" signed print of the cover photograph, "On the Jetty," edition of 25. $100
